Aside from skybluesea, for the past ten years Suzanne has also been a practising community artist. She works as artist-in-residence in various schools working with children from 2 years upwards and also runs INSET courses for teachers.

Subjects focused on are all aspects of textiles: including felt-making, embroidery, silk-painting and also making different kinds of hand-made books – great for “Book-Week” in schools.

Suzanne has recently returned from Pittsburgh, America, where she was one of four North West artists to be invited on an International artists exchange to share ideas and good practice.


Whilst there she ran workshops at The Children’s Museum, Pittsburgh,

skybluesea has recently been commissioned by Warner Estates to design
an interactive colouring book, featuring the Market Place Shopping Centre, Bolton. The book has been distributed free to local schools.
